Event Volunteer
OpenHelp set up, manage, and wrap up AIC events. Tasks include decoration, registration desk, crowd management, and cleanup. Great for newcomers looking to connect!
4–8 hours per event

Cultural Performer
OpenShare your talent with the community! We welcome dancers, musicians, singers, poets, and storytellers to perform at our cultural events throughout the year.
Varies by event

Communications & Social Media
3 spotsHelp us grow our online presence. Tasks include creating social media content, photography at events, writing newsletters, and managing our website.
3–5 hours per week
- ● Social media savvy
- ● Basic photography or design (Canva, etc.)
- ● Good written English
Youth Mentor
5 spotsGuide the next generation of Indo-Canadians. Mentor youth aged 14–25 on academics, career paths, cultural identity, and leadership development.
2–4 hours per month
- ● Professional background in any field
- ● Patience and passion for youth development
Newcomer Settlement Helper
OpenHelp newly arrived Indo-Canadians navigate life in Fredericton. Assist with orientation sessions, connect newcomers to resources, and provide friendly guidance.
Flexible

- ● Multilingual skills are a bonus
- ● Empathy and patience
Food & Catering Team
OpenShowcase your culinary skills at AIC events! Help plan menus, coordinate catering, and serve traditional Indian dishes at potlucks and cultural celebrations.
Event-based

Fundraising & Sponsorship
2 spotsHelp secure sponsorships and donations to fund AIC's programs. Reach out to local businesses, apply for grants, and organize fundraising initiatives.
5–10 hours per month
- ● Sales or networking background helpful
- ● Confident communicator
Translation & Interpretation
OpenBridge language barriers for community members. Help translate documents, interpret at meetings, and support newcomers who speak Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Gujarati, or other Indian languages.
